PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

I am both privileged and honored to serve as the President of KEAN for this year and I wish to extend my gratitude to every KEAN member for this opportunity. While our organization fulfills many objectives, it is our collective work to create a sound platform for engineering professionals that has never been more important. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all executive committee members, the various subcommittee chairpersons and members, regional vice presidents and the board of trustees.

KEAN (Kerala Engineering Graduates Association of Northeast America) was formed in 2008 as a professional organization for graduate Malayalee engineers living in Northeast America. KEAN serves as a platform for engineers to network and provide opportunities to help each other. It is an organization that promotes professional, cultural and social growth as well. Our many activities include professional seminars and webinars on technical subjects, networking events, family nights, and other events. The strength of our organization lies in our members, the relationships that we build with each other, and our dedication to outreach. As we all work in this country as professionals or entrepreneurs, we also have a responsibility to give back to the community and the next generation that follow us. KEAN gives special emphasis on grooming high school students to participate in engineering related activities and special seminars to shine light on the exciting careers in engineering. Likewise, we are committed to equip our young engineers to take on leadership roles. We will continue to support the financially disadvantaged, academically excellent engineering students in North East US and Kerala.

I would like to express my appreciation for the incredible efforts and accomplishments of our past presidents, executive committee members, BOT chairmen and members. A special word of thanks to all the sponsors and supporters of KEAN.

W need your support to accomplish all our projects successfully. We wholeheartedly invite you to be a part of KEAN. We are proud to say that our members regard KEAN membership as a prestigious one. We do not stray from professionalism and integrity in hopes to always keep KEAN honorable. Together, we can do more. You, as a member or supporter, can be the helping hands for KEAN.
